SurvTech Solutions Expanding into Boise, Idaho
Updated: Aug 5
SurvTech’s fastest growing department specializes in subsurface utility location, designation, and mapping. Commonly known as “SUE”, Subsurface Utility Engineering is a specialized form of mapping that provides much needed information for those looking to design, dig, or otherwise break ground. Our engineering, construction, and utility clients have found it indispensable for project design. We give them crucial information for avoiding buried structures and existing underground utilities. We do this with a variety of technologies, including Ground-Penetrating Rader (GPR) and vacuum excavation. We have saved clients on project time and budget, many times. Having established ourselves as a leader in the SUE industry in Florida and the Southeast, SurvTech is now taking this service westward, opening our first SUE branch office in Idaho, where we will be serving the surrounding region.
Headed by former Idaho resident Corey Myllenbeck, the new Boise SUE branch offers the same SUE Quality Levels A, B, C, and D that we have provided for existing clients. This means that we can meet the same stringent standards set by the American Society of Civil Engineers' (ASCE) required for infrastructure projects. As with our Florida offices, our field personnel in Boise are equipped with a multitude of tools, including GPR and electromagnetic conduction (EM). SurvTech prides itself on its technical solutions, and we offer several unique technologies for utility designation, including electrical resistivity (ERI), seismic technology, and pipe thickness testing. This sets us apart from competitors with more limited capabilities, and these services will be offered in Boise, as well.
Corey is a rising star in the SurvTech team, drawing upon his broad work experience to become a leader within the SUE Department. He now returns home to Idaho, where he will lead his own SUE team providing the same SUE services that he provided our clients in Florida. The Boise office will have access to the same technology and will have the backing of our years of experience as a geospatial mapping firm. We look forward to serving you in the Boise, Idaho area.
