Expert Witness

Surveying Fact :
An inspection of ancient Roman surveying techniques in archeological and written evidence reveals three interesting facts :

1. The range of Roman surveying instruments was restricted to the vision of the naked eye (magnification by telescopic sight wasn't invented until 1608)

2. There is no evidence that the Roman's used a compass in their surveying

3. Their entire astronomical and geographical outlook was circumscribed by the idea of an earth centered universe, which was elementary in use when projected into space. They understood a great deal of algebra and trigonometry but very little calculus.

Being an expert witness means providing expert testimony in boundary determination and reconciliation, and remediation in boundary disputes, right of way location, computation, and mapping. It also includes providing mapping and surveying expert reports and testimony for judges, attorneys, lawyers, law firms, insurance companies, and government agencies in Federal and state court trials and arbitrations.

This type of service is typically only needed in boundary disputes, but can also be used in other circumstances.
